After years lost beyond charted space, the KIBONORA returns, scarred, silent, and carrying echoes of what it found in the dark.
Inside the vast industrial hangar, maintenance crews and distant lights emerge through the mist, revealing a ship that’s more myth than machine. The atmosphere hums with tension, a moment between arrival and revelation.
Created as part of the visual worldbuilding for our ongoing sci-fi novel project, this piece captures the feeling of return, not as triumph, but as transformation.
Process: Modeled, postprocessed, and lit in Blender, with overpaint and mood refinement in Photoshop to balance cinematic realism and painterly atmosphere.
Focus: scale, light contrast, and emotional stillness.
