The Flight of the KIBONORA
The Flight of the KIBONORA is an original IP concept created and directed by David Pellet.
As an Art Director with over 24 years of experience in AAA games and narrative worldbuilding, I designed this project to explore a new kind of sci-fi myth: memory, ruin, and emotional scale collide.
This concept blends cinematic boss combat (inspired by Shadow of the Colossus and NieR: Automata) with a grounded, brutalist visual style and poetic narrative depth.
It will begin as a novel and evolve into a fully imagined game universe with character arcs, biomechanical creatures, and a transmedia potential that includes animation, interactive fiction, and collectible design.
RIH - The Flight of the KIBONORA
Original IP Universe | Concept Art & Story Development by David Pellet
“The sky went silent fifteen years ago.”
In a world reshaped by alien titans, biomechanical gods known as Leviathans, humanity survives in fragments: underground enclaves, drifting tribes, and whispered myths. The Earth is no longer ours.
But one ship still flies.
The KIBONORA, a stealth warship once forgotten, now carries a new resistance: the Kin. Pilots, engineers, and survivors, each scarred and bonded by purpose. Among them is Starling, a teenage girl born the moment the sky collapsed, and unknowingly marked by the very creatures they fight.
Their mission: fly across the broken world, hunt the Leviathans, and uncover the truth buried in the echoes of their memories.
