Gate of the Ancients - First Descent

A reconnaissance starfighter dives through the cloud cover of an uncharted world, revealing a massive alien structure carved into the cliffs below. The formation of an enormous circular gate of stone and metal is believed to predate known galactic civilizations. Whether it’s a fortress, a vault, or a machine built for something far larger than human understanding, its purpose remains unknown.

Process:
Scene composition, ship kitbashing, and modeling, as well as lighting, were created in Blender, with a focus on motion, scale, and the contrast between natural terrain and alien geometry. Final Photoshop then Lightroom compositing refined atmospheric haze, motion blur, chromatic distortion, and color balance to heighten the cinematic energy and sense of discovery.

"Mission Log 07. We broke through the upper mist layer at 09:00 hours, and the scanners went dead the moment we saw it. The structure emits no energy, yet it resonates… like it’s listening. Command wants a surface team ready, but I’m not sure we should wake whatever built this place."
